Arriva<\/strong>\u00a0shows the world that local\u00a0\"\ud83c\udf0d\", social\u00a0\"\ud83d\ude4f\"\u00a0and sustainable\u00a0\"\u267b\ufe0f\"\u00a0production is possible, also for big companies.<\/p>\n

Claudy Jongstra<\/strong>\u00a0developed new ties and shawls for all employees of Arriva, together with production atelier Makers Unite<\/strong>. We made the fabric in our sustainable factory. In Claudy’s<\/a> work 3 themes are central: making, social and ecological. In this project all of it comes together.
\nMakers Unite processed the fabric, that we produced in The Netherlands with naturally dyed yarns.<\/p>\n

Makers Unite<\/a>\u00a0is a social production atelier where ‘new-comers’ get a second chance. Because everyone deserves a second chance.
\nThe tie and shawl are made from a complex jacquard weaving. Thanks to this item the wearer is always reminded of this story: a symbol for a new start. And that when we work together, we work towards a better future.<\/p>\n

With this project\u00a0Arriva<\/a>\u00a0is taking a big step to a sustainable future.<\/p>\n
